About the Artist: Irene Shimizu lives in Western Washington with her husband, son and dog (Choco).  As a woman-owned company, and a woman of color, she supports Women and Minority Business Enterprises (WMBE). At the end of 2020, she left the business world (after 30 years) and took several months off.  In February 2021, she began to paint every day and in March 2021 decided to become an artist full time. Her happiest days are spent in quiet times in her garden and painting in her studio.
